A van passes me and I catch up again at a red light. The driver stops a car length back from the intersection, positioning the van beside the curb at the right and leaving a few feet of space on the left. The van quite perfectly blocks the right side of the street so I can’t get by. I have to wait for the light to turn green. That’s no big deal. It’s barely worth a blog post. Maybe the driver chose that spot by pure coincidence. Somehow, looking at the back of the van while I wait, it’s difficult to believe.
